Overview

Sendchamp is the most progressive and foremost CRM (Customer Relationship men Managent) Tool to come out of Africa, and in recent time (while i was there) raised a 100k pre-seed Fund. Sendchamp has its headquaters on Lagos Nigeria, and Provides a consolidated platform for business owners and marketing manager to reach their customers through multiple channels all at the same time

Sendchamp aims to close the communication gap between businesses and customers, and so it has created a platfrom where business owners and their alike operators can been in constant contact with their customers and users through channels like SMS text, Email, Whatsapp and Voice whilst also making available SDKs and APIs for clients that would rather have an integration.

Sendchamp is built on the idea that communication is the life of a relationship and that even in business once the communication great, customer retention and loyalty can be easily established.



These features have put it on the same sight with international giants like Sendgrid, Getgist, Hubspot, Mailchimp amongst others, and the African clienttelle have a positive relationship with the platform

I was spearhaeading the design endeavors at the company then. Revamping the existing overall UI, fixing information architecture & improving overall UX of existing features and he development of New features.

Problem Encountered

The old platform needed improvements in terms of features, user experience and the entire product feel. The company was recording unprecedented drop off in the onboarding flows, Add contacts flow, Send Campaign flows and other important flows. Users complained that the platform wasn't easy to navigate and also cognitive load as the platform was termed texty.

Solution

Along with the data derived from user feedback, I researched
into other platforms that users preferred like sendbird, Mailchimp,
Sendinblue and so on, alongside their reservations about them.
Dived into a full platform audit, including a design system audit.
Revamped the whole platform with more visual and interactive
elements to ease the cognitive load. Better structure Information
architecture with better labeled navs. Reduced the steps on all
important flows to reduce drop offs and also included a product
tour for users to understand platform better

Outcome

The New and Improved Sendchamp product was well recieved by our users, particularly due to the care taken to ensure workflows and processes. We found that the platffofrm was very simple and intuitive to business owners


Our Users began to trust the company more with their communication as we saw them progress from just trying our email feature on a few users to trying out our other channels on a larger bulk of users, whilst also spreading word of mouth.


The Product was functional without compromising on a modern, attractive touch. This harmonous mesh created an app that was loved by both existing and new users for its visual and functional appeal.
